I must be the only one with this issue beacuse I havent seen it mentioned anywhere.
I cant get the width of the Folders pane (Navigation pane) to stick. I can drag it to where I want it but the next time that I open Explorer, its really narrow again. Its opening up at around 158 pixels wide and I would like it to open at around 300-350 or so.
Is there a reg key or value that is telling it what size to open at? Maybe I can force it with a new value. -- HP a1230n Athlon 64 Processor 3800+ 1 Gig RAM Radeon X700

Width of Folder pane too narrow. Cant make changes stick.
Mine sticks. Not sure why, but it might be because I have "Remember each folder's view settings" selected in Folder Options.

Remember that this is a beta and a work in progress. Don't worry...it will eventually get fixed. The reason you don't see it mentioned much anymore is because it's an issue that goes way back. If you want to report it via the feedback option go ahead. The more people who raise a stink about issues maybe the sooner they will get fixed. (wishful thinking here) dotcom

Well Ill just deal with it then. Allthough there must be a place in the registry that is telling
it to open at 158 pixels wide. Because its the same everytime. Ill keep looking.
Whats weird is that if I open Computer (old My Computer) instead of Windows Exploer and
then add the nav pane wich is essentially turning it into a Windows Explorer, by all
appearances anyways, it will remember. Problem with that is that I have a bunch of folders
with different program icons catagorized rather than having them all over the desktop.
Making changes to Computer rather than Explorer, affects those program folders with my
icons in them. And vice versa. Strange behaviour.
Also sorry for my double post. I recieved an error when posting saying it had failed or
something and to try again later. So I did. But apparently it actually went through. I guess
this would explain all the multiple instances of posts in here. Is this forum still in beta too?

You should report all the bugs you find.
The posting error is well known. Try using the newsreader in Windows Mail instead.
